Resources
The short version of everything the blueprint recommends. Personalized guidance appears on your dashboard once you complete the assessment.
Validate before you spend
- Ten competitor teardowns beat one week of brainstorming
- Read one-star reviews — that's where your product brief is hiding
- A $50 traffic test to a waitlist page tells you more than any survey
- Pre-sell before you produce; a refund is cheaper than dead stock
Source without a big MOQ
- Contact 10 suppliers, expect 3 replies, sample 2, choose 1
- Ask for MOQ, price at 3 quantity breaks, lead time and payment terms upfront
- Domestic co-packers cost more per unit but cut MOQ, freight and risk
- Never wire 100% upfront — 30/70 against inspection is normal
Packaging that doesn't sink you
- Run one: stock packaging plus a custom label. Save tooling for run two
- Design for the thumbnail — name and benefit readable at 200 pixels
- Check category labelling requirements before you print 1,000 labels
- Add an insert card asking for a review with a reorder code
Price for survival
- Price off landed cost and target margin, never off a competitor's sticker
- Aim for 65–75% gross margin direct-to-consumer
- Build a bundle — it lifts order value without new inventory
- Know your break-even quantity before you place the order
